Supply chain transparency report

On January 1, 2024, Canada’s Fighting Against Forced Labour and Child Labour in Supply Chains Act came into effect.

The Act aims to combat forms of modern slavery by increasing industry awareness of exploitative labour practices and enhancing commitment to improve business practices. Under this new legislation, various government institutions and other commercial entities are required to prepare annual supply chain transparency reports.

ICBC supports the Act’s public interest objectives, including the need for greater transparency in the fight against forced labour and child labour, and is committed to ensuring that our policies and processes are socially responsible and promote ethical business practices. Our supply chain report covers the activities taken over the fiscal year to identify, prevent and reduce risks related to forced or child labour in our supply chains.
