Apply for the telematics program
Want to help improve road safety and shape the future of telematics programs and products? ICBC is looking for eligible Fleetplan customers to join our commercial telematics program, Drive Smart Pro.
Drive Smart Pro
If you're accepted into the program, you won't need to change anything about how you already use telematics. We'll analyze your telematics data - including speed, harsh braking and cornering - from your telematics service provider.
The telematics data will be used to:
Improve education on safe driving behaviour
Improve road safety and inform future road-safety projects
Inform future telematics programs and insurance-based incentives
If you are accepted and participate, you must provide ICBC with your telematics data for 6 months.
Why apply?
If your fleet has ICBC optional Collision coverage when you apply for Drive Smart Pro, you can receive a 5% discount on that Collision coverage for the term of your fleet's policies starting at the next renewal. Participating will have no other effect on your insurance premiums or the driver's personal insurance policy.
Eligibility
To participate in ICBC's Drive Smart Pro telematics program, you must:
Have a Fleetplan
Maintain a telematics service provider for the duration of the program
If you are eligible and interested in participating, apply by May 31.
Drive Smart Pro has a limited capacity and only a select number of eligible applicants can be included.
