Crash while changing lanes

These accidents happen when a vehicle that is changing lanes collides with the oncoming vehicle in the adjacent lane.

In this diagram, Vehicle A is changing into the lane with Vehicle B when it collides with Vehicle B.

The rules of the road

Drivers must not drive from one lane to another unless it is safe to do so. Therefore, the driver of Vehicle A would be found 100% responsible.
