If you are moving away from B.C.
If you have a current B.C. driver's licence and are moving, check with your new licencing authority about what you will need to get a new driver's licence. Your B.C. licence will remain valid for a 90 days after you cease to be a resident in B.C.

Translation services available
Over-the-phone translation services are available at all driver licensing offices (DLOs) and claim centres. Our customer service representatives and driver licensing agents can connect with an interpreter over the phone to help you speak with us.
Your insurance
In B.C., if you move, you are required to update ICBC with your new primary residential address within 10 days. Whenever you change address, you should make sure your vehicle licence, registration, and insurance is up to date to maintain your coverage.
