If your licence has been damaged, lost or stolen, you can replace it at any ICBC driver licensing office.

If your licence has been stolen, contact your local police to file a report.

How to replace your licence or ID

To replace your licence:

Note: If you do not have enough accepted ID to replace your lost or stolen card, please call our driver licensing information line.

If your licence is expired or due to expire in the next 6 months, you'll need to pay any outstanding amount that you owe to ICBC or the provincial government, including violation tickets, penalty point premiums and any Autoplan debt. Unpaid debt could affect your ability to renew or upgrade your licence. If you have outstanding debt with us, please call Account Services (604-661-2723 or 1-800-665-6442) prior to booking an appointment. For more information about when we refuse to issue a licence, please see the relevant section of the Motor Vehicle Act.

If you're outside of B.C. and do not have your licence

Depending on your situation we may be able to help you if you call our driver licensing information line.
