ICBC statement on government direction to make additional changes to basic insurance rating model

We wholeheartedly support the refinements being directed by government to help our customers' transition to the new insurance model starting September 1st.

These amendments will provide more value and convenience for our customers, while still moving us to an insurance model that is more driver-based.

The changes we are making to get B.C.'s auto insurance system back on track is a massive undertaking, and we are taking every step to ensure its success, which also means making improvements along the way to make sure it works for British Columbians right from day one.
