Lenard F. Boggio — FCPA, FCA, ICD.D
Len Boggio is a Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant with significant experience as an auditor, advisor and independent director of public and private companies and crown corporations. During his 30 years at PwC in Vancouver and the UK, Mr. Boggio's clients included multinational and local entities in the resource, energy, financial institutions, communications and utilities sectors. As a professional accountant and auditor, he was engaged on and served as the lead audit partner and trusted advisor of several property, casualty and life insurance companies headquartered in British Columbia. He is a past chair of CPA Canada and past president of CPABC, playing a senior role in the unification of the Canadian accounting profession.
Since retiring from PwC in 2012, Mr. Boggio has served as an independent director of several public and private companies. He was an independent director of BC Hydro and its subsidiary Powerex Corporation from 2016–2022. He was also a commissioner of the Financial Institutions Commission of B.C. from 2012–2018.
Mr. Boggio has been an instructor for the Canadian Institute of Corporate Directors, focusing on the role of the audit committee in addressing and governing organizations through unusual and complex issues. He holds both a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Commerce with honours from the University of Windsor Ontario, and is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D).
