Donna Wilson

A strategic leader, mentor and coach, Donna Wilson has held executive positions across several industries for over 22 years and is familiar with high-growth environments, merger/acquisitions and high-profile international projects.

One highlight of her career was delivering the high growth required for the 2010 Olympics and Paralympics to Vancouver and Whistler. As the Executive Vice President, Workforce & Sustainability Ms. Wilson led the team that hired the 25,000 volunteers (‘the blue jackets’) and the team that introduced environmental and social sustainability action to the Games.

In the last ten years of her executive career, Ms. Wilson led senior executive roles in workplace safety and health care. During her time with the Provincial Health Authority, she led the team that delivered the COVID19 Laboratory testing response for the province and witnessed the passion and perseverance of health care workers focused on serving the B.C. public. Donna brings expertise to the ICBC Board in the areas of human resources, labour relations, operational leadership and corporate communications & strategy development.

For well over a decade Ms. Wilson has been a member of non-profit Boards at a provincial and national level. In addition to her work with ICBC Board of Directors, Ms. Wilson is currently on the boards of the BCIT Foundation and Numinus Wellness. Ms. Wilson recently retired and shifted her time to her company Workquake Solutions where she provides strategic advisory services and mentorship to CEO’s and executive leaders in several industries. She balances this with cycling, hiking, painting and her two amazing granddaughters.

Ms. Wilson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Simon Fraser University, an Executive Management Certificate from Queens University, is a Chartered Director (DeGroot School of Business, McMasters University) and is a member of Institute of Corporate Directors, ICD.
