List of vehicle damage severity codes.
Vehicle damage severity codes are entered in the Salvage Management Information System (SIMS) for use in the Salvage Value Inquiry system used by ICBC.
All vehicles declared a total loss are assigned the appropriate vehicle damage severity code on the total loss worksheet. When inspecting the vehicle the estimator marks the severity on each damaged area of the vehicle, using the following codes:

Medium damage: requires extensive reworking to be used in future vehicle repairs. |
