A mobile phone must qualify as equipment of the vehicle for ICBC to replace it.

Promotional package coverage

When replacing a qualifying mobile phone that a customer received at a discount as part of a promotional package available only when the phone is activated, ICBC pays the most competitive replacement cost of the phone unit, within coverage.

Applicable regulation and legislation

These policies are based on the definition of equipment under

Division 5, Section 5.11 (e) of the ICBC Autoplan Optional Policy, or
Section 113 of the Revised Regulation (1984) Under the Insurance (Motor Vehicle) Act.
