Every 15 minutes in BC, someone realizes their vehicle has been stolen. Auto theft claims increased by 17%from 2000 to 2001. Industry estimates that fraud occurs in 10 to 15 per cent of automobile insurance claims. In BC this means, on average, a cost of $150 to every honest ICBC policyholder. These costs are appalling!!
Vehicle theft, vandalism and fraudulent and exaggerated claims are costing you a lot each year. These are crimes that can be reduced by sharing information on how to prevent the problem.
