Do you own a vehicle or trailer that has been homemade, or otherwise fits the description of a u-bilt vehicle or a u-bilt trailer?
If it meets B.C.'s registration requirements, you can get it licensed and insured, and put it on the road.
To qualify for registration, the vehicle must meet equipment standards set out in B.C.’s Motor Vehicle Act Regulations.
Trailers weighing more than 1,400 kilograms, gross vehicle weight, must also meet these standards.

Next, go to any Autoplan broker to apply to register the vehicle or trailer. Please bring the above documents, plus any bills of sale for major components. (If you don’t have bills of sale, you may be able to sign a statutory declaration instead.)
You will have to fill out a vehicle transfer/tax form (PDF), which the broker can provide.
If all registration requirements are met, the broker can issue licence plates and provide you with insurance.

Does your trailer weigh less than 1,400 kilograms?
Most u-bilt trailers weighing less than 1,400 kilograms don't need a B.C.-assigned VIN or a vehicle inspection.
