How
to reduce your DPP premium
Paying points
About 4 weeks before your birthday, you
will receive a bill with your accumulated driver penalty points
(DPPs) and the DPP premium that you will need to pay.
You will only receive this notice if you have
accumulated 4 or more points within the assessment period. (See
How
DPPs are calculated and recorded.)
You must pay the bill within 30 days of the invoice
date. You can pay in personor by mail. (Note: To prevent processing
delay, it's best to pay in person at a driver licensing office if
you need to conduct a licensing transaction soon.)
Paying in person
You can pay your points at the following locations:
Be sure to bring the invoice including the
attached remittance slip with you.
What payment method can I use?
You can pay by cash, certified cheque or money
order.
Many Autoplan brokers, driver licensing offices
and appointed agents also accept VISA, MasterCard and debit cards.
Paying by mail
You can also pay points by mail. Here's how:
- Make out a cheque or money order payable
to the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia.
- If you wish to pay by Visa or MasterCard, complete
the credit card details, including signature, on the remittance
slip attached to your notice.
- Detach the remittance slip and include it with
your payment.
If you don't attach a copy of the
remittance slip, attach a note that states the invoice number, the
total number of points and the amount owing, as recorded on your
invoice and your full name, address, driver's licence number and
date of birth.
Please note that these details are required to
process your payment. If you don't include them, your payment might
not be credited to your account, and your driver point premium may
remain outstanding.
Send the payment to:
ICBC Revenue Accounting
151 West Esplanade

Please don't send cash in the mail.
A receipt will not be sent to you. Your cancelled
cheque or money order / credit card receipt will be your proof of
payment.
