Underinsured Motorist Protection
Sometimes a motorist who causes a crash
doesn't have enough insurance to pay for all of the injuries caused,
or may not have insurance at all. If you are injured in such a crash,
Underinsured Motorist Protection (UMP) makes
sure you receive the damages that you are legally entitled to.
Underinsured Motorist Protection applies
to any Autoplan policyholder, as well as members of that person's
household. It covers you in a variety of situations; find out more

People without a vehicle or driver's licence
If you:
- do not own or lease a vehicle
- do not have coverage under another
household member's Autoplan policy, and
- do not have a B.C. driver's licence
you can purchase a special Underinsured
Motorist Protection policy.
This special policy provides Underinsured
Motorist Protection to you and other members of your household.
You can buy $1 million or $2 million of coverage. See your local
