In-House Counsel — Ad # 6449
Employment type: Full-time Permanent
Location: Various Locations, B.C.
Claims Legal Services is currently seeking In-House Counsel to perform claims-related legal defence services for ICBC and its insured.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Handling a caseload of 70 to 90 litigated files
- Court and court-related appearances, including trial, Chambers, mediation and examination for discovery
- Providing high quality, cost-effective legal advice and services to ICBC’s claims handling staff
Your qualifications include:
- Membership or eligibility for membership in the Law Society of B.C.
- Experience with civil litigation, preferably personal injury or insurance defence
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work in a customer service-focused and team-based environment
- A positive attitude and a sense of humour
