Paying and disputing tickets

Tickets are issued to drivers who violate B.C.’s road laws. Tickets may involve a combination of a fine and use driver penalty points.
If your ticket includes a fine that is not disputed, you must pay it before you may renew your driver’s licence or car insurance.

Got a parking ticket?
Any parking tickets from municipalities or private lots should be settled by following instructions on the ticket. If you’re unsure what to do next, contact the organization that issued the ticket.

ICBC collects fines on the government’s behalf for provincial violation tickets only.
If you have received a parking ticket (or any other ticket related to a municipal bylaw or federal law), follow the instructions on the ticket to pay or dispute it. We do not collect fines for municipal or federal tickets.
