Other driving prohibitions

Your driving could be prohibited for repeatedly committing traffic violation offences. Depending on the circumstances, prohibition may come with or without warning.

There are many reasons why drivers get prohibited from driving. These include repeated traffic violations or driving while already prohibited.

The typical process for this prohibition is:

  1. You get a warning letter to say that your driving must improve.
  2. If it doesn’t improve, you are placed on probation.
  3. Any offences caused while on probation might get you an automatic licence suspension.

It is also possible that if you cause a number of offences in a short space of time, you may be prohibited from driving without any warning or having a probationary period.
