To keep your driver’s licence and insurance policy valid, ICBC must have your current address. If you have moved recently, update your licence online or over the phone and update your insurance at an Autoplan broker.
If your address has changed, you have 10 days from when you move to change your address on your driver’s licence and insurance. You must:

ICBC recommends using the provincial government’s online address change service. It lets us and other services know that you have moved without you having to contact them separately. Easy!

Visit any Autoplan broker with your existing insurance policy and update your details right away.
Please note: It is important to change the address on your policy because where you live affects your coverage and sometimes your premium. You may find that your premium increases, or you could be due for a refund. Having the right address also reduces the risk of fraud against your vehicle registration.
