B.C.'s enhanced identification card

B.C.'s enhanced identification card (EIC) is a travel document you can use to enter the U.S. at land and water border crossings.

Important

Due to a Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) change, anyone using a Canadian Citizenship Certificate issued on or after Feb. 1, 2012 as ID cannot apply for or renew an EDL or EIC.

ICBC is working with CIC and hopes to be able to accept this document in the near future. Please check back for updates.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
