If you are an employed person who is disabled in a crash, you may be eligible for up to 15 weeks of Employment Insurance sickness benefits.

If you claim ICBC wage loss benefits, you should apply for EI benefits immediately.

EI has a two-week waiting period before benefits begin. If you are disabled, ICBC benefits begin on the eighth day, and will cover you for the second week of the EI waiting period. For more information on sick benefits, visit HRSDC external link .
