Wage Loss Benefits

Wage loss benefits are available to an insured person who is employed [click for definition] and who is unable to work because of a disability caused by a motor vehicle crash.

If you are injured in a motor vehicle crash, the amount paid by ICBC to you will largely depend on two factors:

In any case, the maximum ICBC payment to you would be $300 per week. Also, you do NOT receive any benefits from ICBC during the first seven days of your disability.

How long do wage loss benefits continue?

Benefits are available only to people whose injuries have rendered them totally disabled for eight days or more. Eligibility begins on the eighth day of disability.

ICBC Accident Benefits are payable for the duration of your disability, or until you reach age 65, whichever comes first. There are two exceptions:
