Starting your claim

Your injury claim begins when you meet your adjuster for the first time. After that meeting, your adjuster will work with your doctor and other health care professionals involved in your care.

Your adjuster must check each claim carefully before authorizing payments for treatment or disability. Such careful checking is part of the adjuster's job. So, please don't expect that you will receive payments right away unless you are suffering immediate hardship, as explained here.
