Advertise

You've cleaned, prepared and researched; now you need to let people know about your vehicle. There are many ways to advertise; here's a few to get you started:

• Newspapers and vehicle sale publications, place an ad in the classifieds
• Your own vehicle, purchase a for sale sign, or use the free sign here.
• The Internet, research which sites will let you advertise, note; many newspapers allow you to advertise on line as well.
• Word of mouth, let your friends, family and neighbours know that you are selling your vehicle.
• At your local library, university or community centre ask permission to post a notice (don't forget to include your phone number).

Remember, if you are inviting potential buyers to your residence to look at the vehicle, you should always have someone there with you. It's never a good idea to meet alone with strangers.
