Peter Burns, Q.C. is ICBC's fairness commissioner. He assesses complaints from a neutral, fairness perspective to decide whether you've been treated fairly based on ICBC's policies and procedures.
Mr. Burns was appointed to this position due to his experience and expertise in the field of law. He was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1984 and was formerly a professor at the University of British Columbia, where he was Dean of Law from 1981-1992.
